About
My name is Jody Williams
Hello, my name is Jody Williams and I want to welcome you to Coastal Paints! My lifelong passion for paint horses began while visiting the Eastern Shore of Virginia, on the beaches where the famous Chincoteague Ponies roamed. We learned the pony's names, their individual story and got to know them by their unique and beautiful markings. My love of horses turned into a childhood full of weekend horseshows which continued until leaving for college and later beginning my own family. I returned to the equine world when my daughter discovered her love for horses and I spent the next 20 years standing ringside mimicking each movement she made. Now, at 55, it was time to return to my own dreams and I established Coastal Paints, starting with one broodmare in foal and I’m excited to share that I’ve welcomed five beautiful foals so far. My goal is to continue producing high-quality, good-minded registered Paint Horses, introducing them to daily hand-on training until they are ready to find their perfect partners in the show world.
Meet the Team
Jody S Williams, Psy.D.
Jody is the current manager of Coastal Paints, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the role. Alongside this, she also serves as a full-time psychologist within Delaware Charter Schools, where she is integral to the special education team, focusing on the assessment of educational disabilities. Jody is happily married to Jim is a proud parent to Gage and Lauren.
Lauren Williams
Lauren is a senior at Delaware Valley University majoring in Educational Psychology. As the Captain of the DelVal Western Equestrian Team, she combines her leadership skills with a lifelong passion for horses. With years of experience in showing and training, Lauren is committed to excellence both in the classroom and in the saddle. Her journey reflects deep love for equestrian sports and a drive to inspire others.
Roland D'alterio
At Platinum Pleasure Horses, Roland's extensive expertise and passion for training shine through in every session. His guidance is instrumental in shaping the future of both young and seasoned horses at Coastal Paint. With his keen insight, he helps each horse discover their ideal show partner, ensuring a harmonious and successful journey in the ring. Trust in Roland’s experience to lead your equine companions toward their fullest potential.
Holly Bruns
Holly plays an essential role in the daily care, health, and happiness of our horses. As both barn manager and caretaker, she brings a consistent level of dedication, knowledge, and attention to detail that ensures everything runs smoothly. From feeding and turnout to monitoring each horse’s condition, Holly is attentive to even the smallest changes and always prioritizes their well-being. Her reliability, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for horse care make her an invaluable part of our operation.

Tilly holds a special place in our as the very first baby born on the farm. Although she faced challenges early on due an injury that kept her from becoming a show horse, she embraced her role as a devoted recip mare at Select Breeders in Chesapeake City, Maryland. After nurturing her little ones, Tilly will be returning to Coastal Paints to enjoy a well-deserved retirement filled with love and care. We can't wait to welcome her back home!

We will be attending several horse shows in 2027. Look for Coastal Paints at ECRRA circuit shows in which we are a proud sponsor. We will also be attending American Paint Horse Shows sponsored by Delmarva and Garden State Paint Horse Clubs as well as the National Snaffle Bit Association World Championship Show.

We will have the BEEMER and Red Light Therapy available at the Region 5 Championship Show and AQHA Youth Horse Show from June 24, 2026 to June 28, 2026. Red light therapy is also offered as an innovative treatment option for horses that promotes healing and recovery. using specific wavelengths of light, it helps to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and improve circulation. This non-invasive therapy can be particularly beneficial for horses recovering from injuries or undergoing rehabilitation. With regular sessions, many horse owners report noticeable improvements in their animals' overall well-being and performance.
